Mouse problems are getting pretty bad when it feels like the mice think your kitchen is their home – and you are the lodgers, says Natasha Hinton.

She and her partner, John, and their three children suffered a serious mouse infestation for four months, when it began to feel like they were not in control of what was happening within their own four walls.

Natasha explained: “We’d see the mice running over the kitchen. We even nearly tripped over one or two of them. There was mouse poo and urine everywhere. You’d hear them screeching at each other. It was like they had taken over.

The couple’s problems began when mice started coming into their terraced home in north west London from a derelict house next door. They had always found the occasional mouse in the house.
