Blocking holes – why foam is no good
Here at SUPERPROOF™ we only use materials that are highly effective at blocking holes and ensuring they are properly mouse proofed. Other mouse proofing companies use materials, like expanding foam, which are not effective at all. Why is expanding foam no good for mouse proofing? The reason is it is structurally weak and full of interconnected holes.
As the foam expands, it creates thousands of holes through which air can still pass. This allows mice, which have extremely sensitive noses, to smell what is on the other side of the hole. If they smell food, they will chew through the foam and still get into your property. Also expanding foam relies on a flammable gas to work. So, if used in a kitchen, can cause fires or explosions.
