A couple from London found themselves in a race against time to remove mice from their home because their baby daughter was about to start crawling.
John and Melissa* had tried many ways to get rid of mice in their flat, including laying mice traps and putting down mouse poison, but none of them worked.
But after the birth of their first child they became more concerned to remove the mice. They wanted to be confident the rodents would be gone for good, because they wanted their child to be able to crawl around their home without fear of her being harmed by mice poison or traps.
John said: “As our daughter got older, we knew the time was approaching when she would start crawling. We wanted her to enjoy her mobility and discovering her world without us worrying.
“Mice are also dirty and carry diseases, so we wanted to get rid of them once and for all. We searched online, and found SUPERPROOF. We’re glad we did, because it has worked. We don’t have mice anymore.”
John and Melissa had called in pest control companies, which had put down traps and mouse bait in their flat on the Isle of Dogs, in East London. One carried out what it claimed to be mouse proofing. But the mice always returned.
Only SUPERPROOF has got rid of the rodents for good. John said: “I was also impressed with the way the technician pulled out all the kitchen equipment do the mouse proofing.
“Other pest control companies were not willing to move appliances, which didn’t make sense because it seemed clear to use that the mice were getting in and out of holes behind the kitchen cupboards.”

SUPERPROOF has developed bespoke equipment for moving kitchen appliances quickly and safely, gaining access to hard to reach area and ensuring customer property is never damaged.
A SUPERPROOF expert says: “John and Melissa’s experience of wanting to protect small children from mice and from mouse poisons and traps is quite common.
“Mice defecate and urinate frequently, and carry many infectious bugs, including E. coli and salmonella. Crawling babies are at much greater risk of being infected through contact with mice.
“Rodent poison, known as rodenticide, is harmful to humans as well as mice and rats, and mouse traps can cause injury if mishandled. So, it’s sensible to be concerned about using them in properties where there are small children.”
Being able to move appliances quickly and safely is a key part of the SUPERPROOF service. Technicians use bespoke equipment, designed and built by SUPERPROOF, to carry out the task.
John and Melissa thoroughly disinfected all floors in their home after SUPERPROOF had completed the mouse proofing. Now their daughter is playing and crawling, discovering more each day about her world.
There’s just one thing she will not discover. A mouse. SUPERPROOF guarantees that*
