Retired teacher Teresa Huckerby says the “brilliant” customer service delivered by SUPERPROOF combined with getting rid of mice in her home was very impressive.
She found our service online after she had tried a traditional pest control service, and felt let down by the way they went about their work and the lack of results.
Teresa said: “The best thing about SUPERPROOF was the brilliant service. The technician who came round was very hard working, and left our home looking very clean and tidy, and we haven’t seen any sign of mice since.
“If I had known about SUPERPROOF in the beginning I would have definitely used the service.”
Teresa, aged 63, began to suspect they had mice in their chalet-style bungalow in Brentwood, Essex, when she cleaned out her under-sink kitchen cupboard, which she did every few months.
She found what she thought were signs of mouse droppings, then looked in other cupboards and found more, which led her to calling in a pest control company.
Baiting company frustration
Teresa explained: “We never actually saw any mice, but we contacted a traditional baiting company at first. They came round and said, yes we had got mice in the house.
“They put baiting poison round and we could tell the bait was being eaten, but we continued to see mouse droppings. The pest control company visited again several times.
“But we got a different person each time, and they said different things. One said we should block holes, another said we shouldn’t because the mice would be trapped inside.
“Then they started making excuses for why they couldn’t attend. The service got very sloppy and we didn’t have any confidence in what they were doing, or whether it was getting rid of mice.”
Then, Teresa came across SUPERPROOF and thought the service made sense. She was also impressed by the offer of guarantee that the property would be mouse-free for at least 6 months, so booked a visit.
She said: “The person who came was very hard working. He stayed the whole day and was very thorough. Because we had so much cupboard space he had to come back another day, but there was no extra charge, which I thought was brilliant customer service.
“We haven’t seen any mice or signs of mice since, so I am pretty assured that the mice have gone. But I am thinking about having SUPERPROOF back in 6 months’ time to do another check, for peace of mind.
“Our property isn’t old, but the mouse proofing carried out by SUPERPROOF revealed all the holes in the property, left after building work. It went a long way to explaining how mice were getting in. It was a real eye-opener.”
No poisons or traps a good thing
Teresa said she was not squeamish about mice, but in hindsight was pleased to have used a service that is wildlife-friendly. SUPERPROOF does not use any poisons or traps, because its mouse proofing is so thorough.
Therefore, no animal is directly harmed by the mouse proofing carried out, and there is no threat to wild animals, including birds of prey, and pets, which can be killed by eating mice poisoned by pest control bait.
